Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for an onsite contract role in Westbrook, ME. You will handle AR processes, cash applications, invoicing, and related tasks under the Accounting Manager and CFO.

The position is fully onsite in a construction manufacturing setting, offering potential extension beyond six months and a pay range of $30.00–$35.00 per hour.

Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for handling a variety of tasks using Linux software, including printing invoices and statements, validating invoices, folding and mailing envelopes, and managing cash applications. The role involves processing payments received through live checks and ACH Wire payments, and scanning checks to the bank onsite for direct connection to Key Bank.

Responsibilities

• Print and distribute invoices and statements every morning.
• Validate invoices against overnight system updates from branches.
• Fold and mail envelopes for customer correspondence.
• Manage cash applications for payments received via checks and ACH Wire.
• Scan checks to the bank onsite for direct processing.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma
• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable processes
• Experience in Cash Applications
• Customer Invoicing expertise
• Familiarity with Automated ERP systems such as AS400, Oracle, JDEdwards, SAP, Great Plains, NetSuite, etc.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work in a timely manner

Work Environment

The role is fully onsite, reporting to the Accounting Manager and CFO on a team of four. The position is based in one of the largest construction manufacturing companies in the New England area and offers potential for extension beyond the initial six months.

This is a Contract position based out of Westbrook, ME.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
