Job summary

Aston Carter is recruiting for an Accounts Receivable professional for a contract-to-hire role based out of Memphis, TN. The position focuses on processing and reconciling receivables, resolving payment issues, and maintaining strong customer relations in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 3+ years in AR/collections, familiarity with JD Edwards or Oracle, and strong Excel and communication skills. It is an onsite Memphis role with competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Accounts Receivable, Collections/Cash Applications experience required.
• JD Edwards and/or Oracle experience required.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile account receivables and remittances.
• Review remittances and match payments to invoices.
• Create regular reports to track financial information.
• Perform audits of the general ledger and financial documents.
• Apply cash receipts to maintain current customer balances.
• Ensure timely payments while maintaining positive customer relations.
• Initiate customer inquiries to resolve claims, credit memos, deductions and short payments.
• Adjust customer balances to reconcile discrepancies.
• Monitor payment trends for assigned customers.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries from the team inbox.

• Process and reconcile account receivables and remittances
• Review all remittance from customers or clients, and match the payments to the appropriate invoices
• Create regular reports to accurately track financial information
• Perform audits of the general ledger and company financial documents
• Apply cash receipts to maintain and increase customer percent current balances
• Ensure timely payments while maintaining positive customer relations
• Initiate customer inquiries to resolve various claims, credit memos, deductions and short payments
• Adjust customer account balances to reconcile and clear various account discrepancies
• Maintain awareness to adverse / declining payment trends with assigned customers
• Monitor the team Inbox and respond timely to internal and external customer inquiries

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
