Extuent Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist for a remote role aligned to U.S. hours.

You will support accounting operations and partner with the Accounts Receivable team to manage customer payments, resolve unapplied cash, and maintain records. In this role you will log payments, communicate with customers and internal teams, and prepare analysis on payment activity and balances.

Formación

• Experience with manufacturing or CPG accounts receivable, credit memos, deductions, etc strongly preferred.
• Excel proficiency required.

Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist

The Role

As the Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist you will be responsible for supporting accounting operations and partnering with our Accounts Receivable team.

Responsibilities

• Receives and logs customer payments (checks, cash, or electronic payments)
• Communicates effectively with all employees and keeps the Accounts Receivable team informed on all customer payment activity
• Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of checks and customer payments in a timely and professional manner
• Researches and resolves unapplied cash, aged receivables, and open credits
• Handles customer correspondence via phone or email related to questions on customer payments
• Logs correspondence and past due status notes on consolidated tracking files
• Collaborates with customers, including multi-state operators, to routinely reconcile records and resolve discrepancies
• Assists Accounts Receivable team with sending customer statements or pushing reporting out to the sales team
• Prepares analysis files on customer shipment activity, payment activity, and balances.
• Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records, and reports
• Supports the accounting personnel in numerous functions of the accounting close
• Performs other duties as required to support Accounting Department

Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing or CPG accounts receivable, credit memos, deductions, etcstrongly preferred
• Experience using MS Office required. Excel proficiency required.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to multi-task
• Self-directed ability to follow up on pending issues
• Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information
