Job summary

Johnstone Supply in Easton, PA is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist for a full-time in-office position. The role focuses on accurate processing of payments, customer account maintenance, and timely resolution of discrepancies, with standard office hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least two years of accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive payments through mail, phone, email, online payments, and bank transfers and apply to the correct customer accounts.
• Research and resolve discrepancies that arise with payments, including contacting customers for clarification.
• Follow up on past due invoices and assist with timely account resolution.
• Enter and update customer account information in the ERP system to ensure records are up-to-date.

ARE YOU A GOOD FIT FOR THIS JOB?

This is NOT a remote position. You will work Monday through Friday in our office from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Your main tasks will involve receiving payments through different channels such as mail, phone, email, online payments, and bank transfers, and applying them to the appropriate customer accounts. You will also play a key role in researching and resolving any discrepancies that arise with the payments received, which may include contacting customers for clarification. You will be expected to follow up on past due invoices and assisting with timely account resolution while maintaining a friendly, positive attitude. Additionally, you will be expected to enter and update customer account information in our ERP system, ensuring that all records are up-to-date and accurate.
