Job Title: ARDeductions Specialist (Accounts Receivable)

Location: St Paul, MN (1 day remote) - Only local residents in MN or WI border will be eligible for consideration.

Pay Rate: $60000 - $65000 / year dependent on applicable experience.

Addison Group is excited to partner with a rapidly growing client to lead the search for a Deductions Specialist with a strong Accounts Receivable background. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of deduction reconciliation, trade promotion management, and customer claims—particularly within a high-volume environment. The right candidate will bring at least 3+ years of experience and a solutions-focused mindset to support AR operations and improve visibility into trade spend activity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and reconcile customer deductions, including trade promotions, pricing discrepancies, shortages, and returns.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Customer Service, AP, and Finance) to investigate and resolve deduction claims in a timely manner.
• Validate the accuracy of deductions and ensure all are supported with appropriate backup (proof of performance, contracts, etc.).
• Monitor and manage trade spend accruals to ensure financial accuracy.
• Track and maintain records related to customer allowances, credits, and promotional programs.
• Support the month-end close process through trade spend reconciliation and reporting.
• Respond to AR-related inquiries and manage communication in a shared inbox, escalating when appropriate.
• Work closely with the IT and Finance teams to troubleshoot and resolve system-related discrepancies.
• Assist with internal audits and provide supporting documentation as needed.
• Recommend process improvements to streamline deduction handling and improve recovery rates.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in deductions, trade spend, & accounts receivable—ideally within the CPG or food manufacturing industry.
• Familiarity with customer portals, trade promotion platforms, and supporting documentation requirements.
• Proficiency in large ERP systems required (MSD 356 BC, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc)
