The Headhunters have exclusively engaged a profitable Metro Detroit contractor to add an Accounts Receivable Specialist to their accounting team. This is a hands-on, on-site role suitable for a 3+ year AR specialist or accounting professional seeking the next step, with a strong focus on billing accuracy, invoicing and timely follow-up.

The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, proficient with MS Excel, and excels at communication and relationship building.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in Accounts Receivable or general accounting.
• Functional understanding of AR processes, cash application and reconciliations.
• Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Assemble and submit billing statements meeting AIA requirements.
• Support monthly contract overview entry and discrepancy reconciliations.
• Billing submissions to customers using portals and verify payment terms.
• Communicate with project managers and customers regarding invoice balances and payment arrangements.
• Assist leadership with status updates and ad-hoc accounting tasks.

The Headhunters have again been exclusively engaged by a profitable Metro Detroit contractor to find a new Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their accounting team. This is a wonderful opportunity for a 3+ year accounts receivable specialist or administrative accounting professional who is looking for the next step in their career. Must be tech savvy and proficient with systems and MS Excel with exceptional communication skills. The role is fully onsite and will require relationship building skills and diligence in following up with various paperwork like approvals, lien waivers, and substantiation of work performed. The great news is collections are handled by a different department and not a requirement for this role. This is a great company and with an outstanding work culture. The ideal candidate will be someone who is a highly organized team player coming from a larger entity with some complexity. We love humble candidates with positive attitudes! Base compensation is up to $66K, plus generous bonus and exceptional benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and submit complete, accurate and thorough billing statements meeting AIA requirements
• Support the accounting team with monthly contract overview entry and discrepancy reconciliations
• Billing submissions to customers using various billing portals and ensuring payment, remittance terms, and ACH details are valid and accurate
• Communicate with various internal stakeholders like project managers, leadership, and external customers regarding invoice balances and coordinate payment arrangements
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks such as advising leadership re: payment status, resolution of open tasks or missing information, reconciliations, backup support for other accounting functions and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience in Accounts Receivable or general accounting
• Functional understanding of accounts receivable processes like cash application, accurately reconciling payment records, and properly using systems
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, desired not required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
