About The Role

As an Accounts Receivable Representative, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely billing and collection of payments from insurance carriers, agencies, and other payers for equipment and services provided across multiple service lines. These include Home Infusion, Specialty Pharmacy, Skilled Nursing, Home Health, Hospice, and Home Medical Equipment. You will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity through diligent follow-up, effective communication, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Location: Remote (Candidates residing in AK, WA, MT, OR, CA, TX, or NM are encouraged to apply)

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient accounts by posting charges, payments, and adjustments
• Contact patients with unpaid medical bills to negotiate payment plans or settlements
• Work directly with insurance companies to resolve disputes and expedite payments
• Track and follow up on outstanding balances in accounts receivable
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient communications and payments
• Monitor payment activity and ensure compliance with internal and external billing guidelines
  
  

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment, focused on reimbursement and collections
• Familiarity with insurance contracts and Medicare/Medicaid regulations
  
  

Preferred

• College-level coursework or formal training in medical front office or billing practices
• Experience with Epic or other electronic health record systems
