Salem Academy and College is seeking an Accounts Receivable Manager to oversee the entire student accounts receivable cycle, including billing, payment plans, collections, and customer service for students and families. The role partners with Financial Aid, Registrar, Enrollment, and Student Life to ensure accurate charges and timely payments.

The position requires meticulous accounting skills, integrity, and experience with AR policies and controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in accounts receivable, student accounts, billing, collections, or general accounting.
• Experience with higher education student accounts or high-volume billing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable principles, reconciliation, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounts receivable cycle for the Academy and College, including billing, payments, plans, refunds, and collections.
• Serve as primary contact for students and families regarding balances and payment options.
• Prepare billing statements and monitor status through registration and deadlines.
• Coordinate with Financial Aid, Registrar, Enrollment, and Student Life.
• Reconcile AR sub-ledger to GL monthly and analyze aging and cash reports.
• Administer delinquent accounts and support audits and reporting.
