Job summary

Salem Academy and College in Winston-Salem, NC seeks an Accounts Receivable Manager to own the student billing cycle end-to-end. You will manage billing, payments, plans, collections, and reconciling the AR ledger, while collaborating with Financial Aid, Registrar, Enrollment, and Student Life to ensure accurate, timely charges and a smooth billing experience.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in AR/billing, experience with ERP/SIS systems (Jenzabar, Ellucian, Anthology, Workday), and strong Excel

Qualifications

• Progressively responsible experience in accounts receivable or billing.
• Experience in higher education or high-volume billing preferred.
• Knowledge of AR reconciliation, collections, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage complete AR cycle for the Academy and College, including billing and statements.
• Administer payment plans, collections, and refunds; monitor delinquencies.
• Reconcile AR subsidiary ledger to general ledger monthly; research variances.
• Prepare 1098-Ts and support IRS reporting; assist audits and internal controls.
• Coordinate with Financial Aid, Registrar, Enrollment, and Student Life on charges.
• Maintain AR policies and system configurations; improve automation and accuracy.
