Job summary

Propio Language Services in Overland Park, KS seeks a motivated Accounts Receivable Intern to gain hands-on exposure across billing, cash application, reconciliations, collections support, and reporting. You’ll work with Finance, Billing and Operations on process improvements, while learning AR fundamentals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 strongly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Interest in learning and contributing to Accounts Receivable functions.

Responsibilities

• Support the AR team with day-to-day billing, invoicing, and accounts receivable activities.
• Assist with cash application, including researching and applying customer payments and resolving unapplied cash.
• Support the collections team with account reviews and researching outstanding balances.
• Assist with customer account reconciliations, including reviewing open invoices, credit memos and payment activity.
• Help review and maintain client billing information, payment methods and billing portals.
• Review and organize AR documentation to support accuracy, compliance and audit requests.
• Assist with documenting and updating standard operating procedures for recurring AR and billing processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and support automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Billing, Collections, Finance, Operations, and other internal teams to support day-to-day operations and special projects.
