Job summary

QTS Data Centers in Overland Park, KS is seeking an Accounts Payable Intern to gain hands-on experience with supplier invoicing, reconciliation and month-end close.

You will create templates, scrub supplier statements, review and code invoices, and collaborate with internal teams on projects while developing data-analysis skills using Excel, Power BI and Tableau.

This paid internship offers exposure to a leading digital infrastructure company and real-world accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Create templates and processes around supplier requests and internal communication
• Scrub and refine supplier statement portfolio
• Review, validate and process vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness
• Assist with invoice coding and routing approvals in accordance with company policies
• Monitor AP workflows
• Research and resolve discrepancies, payment issues, and inquiries
• Assist with month-end closing activities
• Partner with internal stakeholders on projects and initiatives
