Job summary

Reed Smith is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to address specialized needs of client accounts receivable and relations efforts. You will analyze client profiles, liaise with attorneys and clients, and provide management with payment trend insights.

You will interact with clients to secure timely payments, document actions in ARCS, and collaborate with billing managers and practice groups to monetize outstanding balances.

Qualifications

• High school education; college courses or degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with firm clients to facilitate timely payments and identify challenges to on-time payments.
• Follow up with clients and document actions in ARCS collection system; determine next steps for overdue accounts.
• Enter and maintain accurate summaries of collection activities in ARCS for all assigned client AR positions.
• Provide status updates to firm attorneys and business unit personnel on client accounts receivable positions.
• Process, review and mail client statements monthly.
• Collaborate with other process streams to improve the bill-to-cash cycle and resolve challenges.
• Interface with eBilling websites to review invoice status and notify managers of missing or rejected invoices.
• Assist practice groups with collection efforts by providing timely updates and recommendations.
