Job summary

Triple‑S Steel is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our Houston headquarters. You will process payments, maintain customer accounts, and support collections efforts while providing administrative support to leadership.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of AR or related experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years of accounts receivable or related experience.
• Experience with collections, customer account management, and billing processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and AR transactions.
• Draft past-due collections letters and contact delinquent accounts for payment.
• Create reports on current AR status as requested.
• Resolve customer discrepancies with Collections Manager and staff.
• Collaborate to reconcile AR on a routine basis (at least bi-monthly).
• Assist in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger.
• Provide administrative support to Partners and management.
• Reconcile revenue accounts monthly.
• Maintain filing systems and relay information changes to staff.
• Exercise independent judgment in day-to-day decisions.
