Job Description: Based in Norridge, Illinois, we are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our amazing accounting team. The individual in this position will play a critical role in managing our incoming payments, issuing accurate customer invoices, resolving account discrepancies, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate possesses a strong numerical aptitude, excellent communication skills, is highly detail-oriented & organized, and demonstrates elevated critical thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Send invoices and statements to customers through mail and email.
• Maintain organized and accurate AR files.
• Process check, credit card, and EFT payments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain and update customer information.
• Monitor inboxes and handle requests promptly.
• Research and resolving customer inquiries and discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Contact customers about past due balances in a respectful manner.
• Serve as a mediator between sales & customers, reducing risk of nonpayment. Key Working Relationships: The successful candidate will report to the Accounting Manager in Norridge, Illinois and will communicate with all the other departments.

Requirements

• Must be self-driven, task oriented, and able to manage time effectively

• Proficient with Outlook, Teams, Excel, and other Microsoft Suite products
