Job summary

L.A. Hydro-Jet & Rooter Service is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk for our Sun Valley office. You will process and apply customer payments, reconcile accounts, and investigate payment variances.

This position supports daily deposits and month-end activities in a collaborative, stability‑driven environment. Ideal candidates have 2–6 years in AR, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with Excel, Outlook, and billing portals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2-6 years of accounts receivable and payment processing experience.
• Experience in processing customer payments & reconciling accounts.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel; Service Titan & QuickBooks experience preferred.
• Experience submitting invoices through customer portals.

Responsibilities

• Upload and manage multiple accounts and ensure invoices are in the correct portals.

L.A. Hydro-Jet & Rooter Service is looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk at our Sun Valley office. This role involves processing and applying customer payments, reconciling customer accounts and investigate differences in payments, invoices, credits & outstanding balances. Identify and resolve unapplied, partial, duplicate, and overpayments. Track returned payments and insufficient fund transactions. Assist with daily deposit procedures, payment reconciliation, and month-end activities.

SCHEDULE

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

• Process and apply customer payments accurately
• Reconcile assigned customer accounts and invoices
• Handle multiple tasks and software systems simultaneously
• Upload and manage multiple accounts and ensure invoices are uploaded to the appropriate customer portals
• Follow up with customers on assigned overdue invoices and outstanding balances via phone or email
• Escalate significantly overdue accounts and unresolved disputes to management

WHAT SETS YOU APART

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2-6 years of experience in accounts receivable, payment processing, billing.
• Experience in processing customer payments & reconciling customer accounts.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to remain professional and calm when handling customer concerns
• Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel, Service Titan & Quick Books experience preferred
• Experience submitting invoices through customer billing or vendor portals

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Regularly required to sit for extended periods
• Frequently required to use hands for typing and handling paperwork
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds

L.A. Hydro-Jet & Rooter Service determines compensation based on the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. Pay for this position is $25-29/hr. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
