Job summary

TalentBridge is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist in St. Louis, MO to manage daily cash activity, payments, and reconciliations. The role supports the accounting team and requires strong detail orientation in a high-volume environment.

You will process payments, prepare AR reports, and collaborate across AR/AP to resolve discrepancies while maintaining strict internal controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable or cash applications.
• Hands-on processing of customer payments and bank activity.
• Understanding of journal entries and bank reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient with Excel and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily updates related to customer cash flow and cash activity.
• Process and record customer and non-customer payments.
• Record bank transfers and maintain supporting documentation.
• Prepare journal entries for daily outgoing transactions.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and research discrepancies as needed.
• Monitor unapplied customer payments and ensure payments are researched and applied.
• Prepare and distribute daily accounts receivable reports.
• Monitor outstanding AR balances with week-over-week comparisons and tracking tools.
• Assist with customer onboarding and ensure account information is established.
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding accounts, payments, balances, and related matters.
• Prepare and provide customer statements upon request.
• Maintain documentation and follow accounting policies and controls.
• Partner with accounting team to resolve discrepancies.
• Provide support to Accounts Payable as needed.
• Assist with additional accounting projects and responsibilities.
