Job summary

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company (USA) Inc. is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our on-site team in the USA. You will manage customer payments, post and verify transactions, and respond to inquiries. You will also generate AR reports and resolve discrepancies with support from the Collections Manager.

The role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and a customer‑service mindset. On-site presence five days a week is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in a similar role (supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, customer service, etc.)
• English: advanced
• Attention to detail: Must have
• Organized, efficient, and able to manage time effectively
• Strong customer service mindset, focused, and responsive
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Great team player
• Knowledge of MS Excel with the ability to learn new software

Responsibilities

• Communicates with customers to provide support and information on accounts receivable issues and records in the MSC systems the customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
• Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
• Replies to customers’ questions regarding the payments they made and makes corrections in the MSC systems if necessary.
• Creates reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested.
• Researches customer discrepancies and past‑due amounts with the assistance of the Collections Manager and other staff.
• Collaborates with the Collections Manager to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic basis.
• Maintains and updates customer files.
• Presence required on‑site 5 days per week
• Performs other duties as required.
