Schupan is hiring an Accounting Assistant for Kalamazoo, MI, 1st shift. You will handle customer invoicing, AR, and collections, while preparing weekly and month-end reports to support closing processes.

The role collaborates closely with Operations and the Assistant Controller to ensure accurate financial information and strong customer service. The position requires 1–2 years of related experience, proficiency with Excel, and a detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from a two-year college or university in a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• 1–2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Accounts receivable, billing, or collections experience preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or recycling environment preferred.

Responsabilités

• Process customer invoices and summary reports.
• Process settlements for adjustments to original customer invoices or orders.
• Enter purchases for accounts payable processing.
• Provide customer support for invoicing, accounts, reporting, banking, and related needs.
• Assist with setup and maintenance of customer accounts.
• Manage accounts receivable collections and follow-up activities.
• Prepare the weekly AR Aging report to monitor outstanding balances and prioritize collection efforts.
• Prepare the Month-End Inventory and Inventory Received reports and provide the results to the Assistant Controller for month-end close.
• Record all Shopify transactions.
• Coordinate with Finance to close month end on schedule.
