Job summary

Steve Madden is seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate to manage open AR, research chargebacks, and support the Wholesale division from our LIC on-site office. You will assist with month-end closing, maintain aging reports, and handle inquiries while collaborating with internal teams.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timely communication, and a proactive approach to credit and dispute resolution. The position offers competitive hours and benefits; prior AR and wholesale experience will be valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years Accounts Receivable experience.
• Prior Wholesale experience.
• Proficient with payment research and chargebacks.
• Basic understanding of finance and month-end processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist month closing by entering information and updating aging reports.
• Research and respond to AR inquiries promptly.
• Review and verify payment deductions and chargebacks.
• Process credit memos and document credit information.
• Research unapplied and unidentified payments daily.
• Respond to customer inquiries and coordinate with other departments.
• Support department manager on special projects and reporting.
