Job summary

Compass Group USA, through its Canteen brand, seeks an Accounting Associate in Jacksonville, FL to manage accounts receivable operations and support client relationships. The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and service mindset in every financial process.

You will handle invoicing, payments, and balance checks while collaborating with the Financial Division. The position requires 1–3 years in accounting and a strong eye for detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and QuickBooks.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to resolve issues independently.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and data entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Monitor credits and debits across accounts with accuracy.
• Post customer payments, verify deposits, and ensure funds are properly applied.
• Track unpaid invoices and follow up on overdue balances.
• Balance daily and month-end AR with GL balances.
• Investigate outstanding invoices and negotiate payment terms.
• Process liens for collections when necessary.
• Enter and maintain AR data in the GL.
• Provide administrative support across the Financial Department.
• Take on additional responsibilities as they arise.
