Job summary

Spectrum Marketing Companies is seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate to join our collaborative Accounting team. This role supports payment processing, collections, and customer account service while working closely with Sales and Client Success to keep payments and customer orders on track.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Receivable or related customer-facing financial role preferred.
• Ability to learn multiple business systems (NetSuite, Versapay, Avanti a plus; training provided).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with ERP/accounting software.
• Strong communication and customer service skills for payment conversations by phone and email.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Associate’s degree preferred but not required with relevant experience.
• Bookkeeping or accounting coursework is a plus.
• Significant related experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Receivable, accounting, collections, payment processing, or a related customer-facing financial role strongly preferred.
• Ability to learn multiple business systems. NetSuite, Versapay, or Avanti experience is a big plus; training on Versapay and Avanti will be required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook, and experience using an ERP or accounting system.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, including confidence and tact handling payment-related conversations by phone and email.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively.
• An associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required with relevant experience. Accounting or bookkeeping coursework is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Fine motor skills for keyboarding and handling documentation.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.

• Proficiency with spreadsheets and in accounting software; experience with Great Plains a plus.
• Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) or similar software.

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Educational/Experiential Requirements

• Associate’s degree preferred but will consider candidates with successful experience in similar functions as an alternative.
