Job summary

Aptiv in Garden Grove, CA is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support revenue by ensuring accurate invoices, prompt payments, and resolution of outstanding balances. You will maintain strong numerical accuracy and customer relationships throughout billing processes.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, effective communication, and collaboration with the Finance team to ensure GAAP compliance and cash-flow health.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Previous experience in accounts receivable or general accounting required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; ability to manage high volumes of financial data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Generate and distribute accurate invoices and credit memos in a timely manner.
• Post daily deposits, including checks, ACH payments, and wire transfers, and apply them accurately to the correct accounts.
• Monitor aging reports and contact customers by phone and email regarding past-due balances.
• Act as the primary contact for billing inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and provide requested documentation such as W-9s and statements.
• Reconcile the accounts-receivable ledger to ensure all payments are properly accounted for and posted.
• Prepare weekly aging summaries and assist with month-end closing activities.
• Perform scheduled audits to help ensure GAAP compliance.
• Apply the basic accounting equation to support balance-sheet accuracy and protect liquidity and cash-flow health.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour

Leadership & Core Responsibilities

Billing, Cash Application & Collections

• Generate and distribute accurate invoices and credit memos in a timely manner.

Position Requirements

Education: High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

Experience: Previous experience in accounts receivable or general accounting required.

Technical Qualifications: Ability to manage high volumes of financial data without compromising accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Word, and Google Workspace.

Certifications & Competencies

Systems Proficiency: Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, ADP, and Microsoft Access.

Compensation, Benefits & Legal

Total Rewards & Compensation: The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00 per hour plus a 5% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
