Job summary

Aleron is seeking an Accounts Receivable and Billing (ARB) Specialist in San Antonio, TX to support accurate, timely billing across residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal customers. This temp role involves investigating discrepancies, solving meter and system issues, and ensuring compliance with billing standards.

The position requires 2+ years in billing, strong analytical abilities, and experience using ERP systems such as SAP.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience researching customer accounts, investigating billing discrepancies, and resolving complex account or payment issues.
• 2+ years of experience using billing, customer account, or ERP systems to process adjustments, reversals, rebills, account updates, or related transactions.

Responsibilities

• Investigate billing discrepancies, inactive accounts with consumption, slow or non-communicating meters, and system errors using SAP and other platforms.
• Research customer accounts, premises, meter data, and final bill disputes to identify root causes and process billing adjustments, reversals, rebills, and account transfers.
• Troubleshoot AMI issues, resolve meter synchronization errors, obtain remote meter reads, and coordinate meter-related corrections.
• Communicate with customers regarding billing adjustments, account balances, and repayment options while supporting escalated inquiries and cross-functional requests.
• Maintain detailed operational and financial records, prepare monthly reports, process tax exemption requests, and update procedures to support compliance and process improvements.

Job Requirements

What You’ll Bring

• 2+ years of experience in using billing, customer account, or enterprise resource planning systems to process adjustments, reversals, rebills, account updates, or related transactions.
