Slate is seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst in Troy, Michigan to own daily AR operations across reservation deposits, vehicle balances, and merchandise. The role requires strong AR fundamentals and hands-on SAP experience in a fast-paced startup environment that values precision and timely cash flow.

You will manage refunds, unapplied cash, and AR aging, while coordinating with Treasury, Accounting, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate close and robust controls.

Qualifikationen

• 3–5 years of accounts receivable, cash application, or accounting operations experience in a high-transaction-volume environment.
• Strong AR fundamentals: cash application, customer deposit accounting, AR close, reconciliations, aging analysis, and exception management.
• Hands-on experience with SAP AR (or a comparable ERP); familiarity with a payment processor (Adyen, Stripe, or similar) is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills; pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• Clear and concise communicator who can explain an AR discrepancy to a non-finance teammate.

Aufgaben

• Apply daily cash across reservation deposits, vehicle balance payments, and merchandise sales in SAP; match payments to customers and orders.
• Process refunds, chargebacks, and cancellations and convert deposits in SAP as customers move from reservation to delivery.
• Work the unapplied cash queue daily: research items, clear, and escalate unresolved breaks.
• Maintain customer AR balances by researching discrepancies with customers, processors, and internal teams.
• Monitor AR aging and contact customers to resolve overdue items; document outcomes and escalate when needed.
• Prepare daily and monthly AR reconciliations across processors, auto financing partners, and bank accounts; complete month-end tasks.
• Submit manual journal entries supporting AR close with proper approvals.
• Write/update desk procedures for tasks to ensure institutional knowledge.
