Responsibilities

• Process and apply incoming client and office payments across multiple currencies.
• Research and resolve unidentified or unapplied cash receipts with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Perform daily cash reconciliations to ensure records match bank activity.
• Manage client trust accounts (IOLTA) with regulatory compliance.
• Record receipt of client funds into trust ledgers and disbursements with approvals.
• Execute transfers between trust and operating accounts to settle invoices.
• Assist with regular trust account reconciliations and reporting.
• Prepare cash receipt and trust account balance reports for management.
• Collaborate with Billing, Collections, and Accounts Payable teams to resolve inquiries.

Overview

A leading global law firm is seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join its Finance team. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of the firm's financial operations and safeguarding client funds. The successful candidate will be responsible for cash application, trust account administration, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal control requirements.

Responsibilities

Cash Receipting & Application

• Accurately process and apply incoming client and office payments received via wire, ACH, and check across multiple currencies.
• Research and resolve unidentified or unapplied cash receipts by working closely with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Perform daily cash reconciliations to ensure accounting records accurately match bank activity.

Client Money (IOLTA/Trust) Management

• Manage client trust accounts (IOLTA and similar trust accounts) while ensuring strict compliance with applicable regulations and professional conduct rules.
• Record receipt of client funds into the appropriate trust ledgers.
• Process trust account disbursements to third parties with proper documentation and approvals.
• Execute approved transfers between trust accounts and operating accounts to settle client invoices.
• Assist with regular trust account reconciliations and reporting.

Controls & Team Support

• Adhere to internal controls, compliance standards, and segregation of duties requirements.
• Prepare cash receipt and trust account balance reports for management.
• Partner with Billing, Collections, and Accounts Payable teams to resolve inquiries.
• Serve as a resource for attorneys and business professionals regarding client payments and trust account balances.
