Lindblad Expeditions is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to lead a five-person AP team and own end-to-end AP operations. The role emphasizes transformation, automation, and strong controls in a dynamic environment.

The position requires 8+ years in AP/finance, 2+ years of people management, and onsite work at least 3 days/week in the NYC area, with a hybrid schedule including Seattle and New York offices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in progressive accounts payable or finance operations.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• Experience leading AP teams in high-volume, multi-entity environments.
• Proven track record of process improvement, system transformation, and automation.
• Strong understanding of AP controls, vendor master governance, and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of five AP professionals with clear roles and service levels.
• Own end-to-end AP operations: invoicing, approvals, vendor data, payments, and issue resolution.
• Drive AP transformation: workflow redesign, automation, standardization, and new tools adoption.
• Set and monitor AP metrics and service levels, incl. processing timeliness and backlog.
• Manage vendor master governance: new vendor setup, changes, approvals, segregation of duties.
• Continuously optimize AP workflows, cut manual work, and improve controls and user experience.
• Oversee invoice processing and data capture for accurate coding and timely resolutions.
• Manage AP close activities and reporting within deadlines.
• Develop and maintain AP policies, SOPs, and training materials.
• Lead cross-functional projects related to AP, finance operations, and process excellence.
