Job summary

SBM is hiring an Accounts Payable Technician in Sacramento, California. The role supports the AP function by compiling, classifying, and verifying records, and maintaining data for accounts payable and receivable.

You will process invoices, reconcile vendors, and assist with monthly close deadlines. The ideal candidate has an associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience, familiarity with accounting software and spreadsheets, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in accounting.
• Experience with accounting software and spreadsheets.
• Ability to analyze invoices and manage AP processes.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process accounts payable invoices daily.
• Review and approve payments after verification and 3-way matching.
• Prepare and reconcile AP checks and statements.
• Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries within 48 hours.
• Support monthly close and reporting tasks.
