Job summary

Cowlitz Indian Tribe in Longview, WA seeks an Accounts Payable Supervisor to oversee all payable processes, produce checks and electronic payments, and generate AP reports in line with GAAP. Under supervision, supervise staff, handle month-end closings, maintain vendor data, and ensure accuracy and compliance with tribal policies.

The role requires an Associate degree in accounting or related field, 3 years of accounting experience, and a valid driver’s license, with a Bachelor's degree

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting/finance/business required; bachelor's preferred.
• Three years of accounting experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Background checks and a valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all stages of accounts payable to produce checks and electronic payments.
• Generates AP reports and maintains vendor data in compliance with GAAP.
• Trains, mentors, and evaluates staff; supports month-end and year-end closings.
• Ensures tribal preference policies are followed and safety policies observed.
