Crescent Energy, a Houston-based energy company, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead the AP organization. You will drive timely invoice processing, vendor payments, and employee expenses while directing a team of AP professionals.

The role requires strong leadership, a customer-service mindset, and extensive experience in high-volume AP environments, with SAP, OpenInvoice, and OpenTicket expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounts payable experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in high-volume AP environment and strong internal controls.
• Proficiency with SAP, OpenInvoice, and OpenTicket; advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop the Accounts Payable team with coaching and performance management.
• Oversee timely processing of vendor invoices through SAP and OpenInvoice.
• Manage daily AP activities including approvals, coding, payments, and exceptions.
• Monitor OpenInvoice/OpenTicket workflows to meet service level expectations.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and accounting to resolve discrepancies.
• Approve payment proposals, ACH, wire payments, and check runs per policy.
• Ensure AP subledgers and balance sheet accounts are reconciled.
• Support month-/quarter-/year-end close, accruals, and reporting.
• Maintain SOX compliance and strong internal controls.
• Lead vendor onboarding and maintain accurate vendor master data.
• Analyze AP metrics to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for automation.
• Support acquisitions, divestitures, and integrations impacting AP.
• Assist with audits and serve as escalation point for complex issues.
