Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc. seeks an Accounts Payable Supervisor to oversee daily AP operations in Los Angeles, CA. The role ensures accurate processing, timely payments, and compliance with government reporting requirements, including 1099s.

The supervisor will liaison with the accounting software provider and CFO/Controller, train staff, enforce month-end deadlines, and optimize AP processes to support organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten (10) years of accounts payable experience with at least six (6) accounting units or equivalent.
• Accounts Payable best practices.
• Accounts Payable related laws, including federal and state regulations.
• Principles and practices of accounting.
• Financial record-keeping and reporting techniques.
• Principles and practices of organization and administration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with Accounting Software provider to resolve issues.
• Coordinates with CFO and Controller to interpret policies and procedures on accounts payable.
• Researches and resolves accounts payable issues.
• Responds to inquiries regarding accounts payable policies and procedures.
• Provides training on accounts payable during new hire orientation.
• Schedules month end deadlines and transmission dates to ensure vendors are paid on pay date.
• Ensures timely distribution of 1099s and other tax forms related to accounts payable.
