Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Accounts Payable team member to ensure timely and accurate payment of supplier invoices and credit notes, in line with Standing Financial Instructions. The role requires managing queries from clinicians and administrators, maintaining VAT compliance, and upholding strong internal and external relationships.

The post holder will work with limited supervision, prioritise workload to meet deadlines, and support the wider Finance

Qualifications

AAT or equivalent (Intermediate Level).
Experience in finance with VAT, petty cash, and reconciliations.
Strong numeracy and high accuracy.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word).
Good communication and ability to liaise with staff.
Organise workload and meet deadlines.
Commitment to personal and professional development.

Responsibilities

Process and pay invoices and credit notes promptly and accurately.
Ensure VAT recovery on eligible invoices.
Maintain invoice authorisation in accordance with procedures.
Respond to supplier queries promptly and record actions.
Liaise with directorates to ensure non-authorised invoices are addressed.
Promote compliance with trust financial procedures and better payment practices.
