Chicago Tube & Iron Company in Romeoville, IL is seeking an organized accounts payable professional to join our Corporate Accounting team. You will process vendor invoices, match to purchase orders, and resolve discrepancies to keep payments timely.

Responsibilities include communicating with vendors, reconciling statements, and supporting cash applications. We value accuracy, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and with a team in a collaborative, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts payable or accounting experience.
• High attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Accounting education or experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and verify quantities, pricing, and materials received.
• Research invoice discrepancies and assist with unpaid material reports.
• Communicate professionally with vendors regarding invoices, credits, discounts, and payment inquiries.
• Review vendor statements to reconcile outstanding invoices and credits.
• Reconcile company credit card statements and receipts for the Controller.
• Provide backup support for Cash Applications when needed.
• Maintain organized accounting records and support the accounting team with additional projects.
