Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments. You will work across business units to maintain AP records and support month-end close.

The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, experience in invoicing and reconciliation, and proficient use of ERP and Concur for expense reports. Occasional travel may be required, and familiarity with JD Edwards (JDE) is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 3+ years general accounting experience.
• JDE experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day processing and reconciliation of invoices into the accounts payable system across all business units.
• Verifies and approves all invoices for payment; ensures compliance with approval levels.
• Ensures accurate data entry and consistent General Ledger account assignments.
• Prepares, audits and runs payments via check, ACH and wire transfers.
• Maintains accounts payable payment calendar and communicates with internal and external customers.
• Assists in maintaining Supplier Master/Address Book in JDE; processes employee expense reports via Concur.
• Assists in monthly closings (reports, accruals).
• Prepares year-end 1099s and maintains W-9 forms for suppliers.
• Processes supplier credit applications; performs general office duties.
