Job summary

Louisiana Blue is seeking an Accounts Payable professional to support invoice processing, payments, and related controls. The role involves ensuring accurate processing, timely posting, and adherence to internal controls and procedures.

You'll train and guide associate staff, work with internal departments and external vendors, and contribute to month-end closings while maintaining data integrity and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3 years of related accounting experience in an accounts payable processing environment.
• Experience in an automated Invoice platform.
• Experience in PeopleSoft preferred.
• Experience with general ledger account reconciliations including month-end closing processes.

Responsibilities

• Enter and reconcile inventory invoices within the accounts payable system.
• Participate in development and implementation of new procedures to enhance workflow.
• Process benefit management decisions in SharePoint, voucher reconciliation, and travel/entertainment expenses.
• Monitor the accounts payable general mailbox to meet SLAs.
• Process stop pays and issue check copies for claim checks from the claims processing system.
• Ensure internal controls are followed and report discrepancies to management.
• Maintain proper monthly and annual closing of the accounts payable system.
• Back up departmental staff and assist training associate staff.
• Document contract terms for vendors to ensure timely posting and discounts.
• Ensure invoices are not duplicated via consistent review.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries promptly and professionally.
