Job summary

Visual Comfort Co. is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable specialist to support payments and vendor relations in our Skokie, IL office.

You will process invoices, perform three-way matching, and manage check runs, ACH and wire payments, while maintaining strict controls. You will collaborate with teams during monthly close, reconcile statements, and help optimize AP processes using ERP systems like JD Edwards or Microsoft Dynamics 365, with Concur for expenses.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Accounts Payable, Accounting, Finance, or related operations.
• Strong knowledge of AP processes including PO and non-PO invoices, three-way matching, vendor maintenance, and expense reporting.
• Experience with check runs and ACH and wire processing.
• Experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred).
• Experience with Concur expense management and corporate card processes.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices with accurate coding and approvals.
• Perform three-way matching and resolve discrepancies in pricing, quantities, and terms.
• Prepare payment proposals and support check runs, ACH, and wire processing.
• Manage vendor inboxes and serve as primary contact for inquiries.
• Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies, missing invoices or credits.
• Process vendor setups and maintain required documentation (W-9s).
• Review employee expense reports and corporate card transactions for compliance.
• Support monthly close activities and audit preparation.
• Identify process improvements and participate in ERP enhancements and SOP maintenance.
• Collaborate with team to achieve goals and uphold company values.
