Job summary

Schwickert’s is seeking an Accounting Specialist to ensure timely processing of accounts payable invoices and vendor payments in line with company policies. You will post daily deposits, manage corporate credit card programs, and support the Accounting Department.

The role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Starting pay is competitive with benefits and opportunities for audits and monthly close support.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Highly motivated with initiative for learning and quick implementation.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong data entry skills; proficient keyboarding.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Post accounts payable invoices to the accounting system daily.
• Review invoices for proper supporting documentation and approvals.
• Process checks per company policies.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies with purchasers.
• Reconcile vendor statements to keep accounts current.
• Answer vendor inquiries and maintain AP files.
• Scan daily deposits and post to accounting system.
• Reconcile and manage credit card statements.
• Assist with audits, tax issues, and month-end close.
• Provide backup to front desk admin and other accounting staff.
