Job summary

T&K Asphalt Services, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to support the Finance Department. The role involves processing vendor and subcontractor invoices, maintaining AP records, communicating with vendors, and assisting with month-end and year-end closings.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. This is a full-time, on-site position in Whitman, MA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Accounting coursework, training, or prior accounts payable experience preferred.
• Previous experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or an accounting-related administrative role preferred.
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles and accounts payable procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with CF Data or similar accounting software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, code, and process vendor and subcontractor invoices for payment.
• Route invoices through the appropriate approval process and verify approvals before payment.
• Verify invoice accuracy including vendor information, job numbers, POs, quantities, extensions, totals, and terms.
• Reconcile vendor statements against company records and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare accounts payable checks and other payment documentation.
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and balances.
