Client Overview

Atrium is partnering with a manufacturing company that designs and manufactures a full line of highly accurate flow meters and energy measurement systems. Their wide range of products includes turbine, vortex, electromagnetic, thermal mass, and clamp-on ultrasonic flow meters, as well as BTU meters and display modules. Their broad and competitively priced product suite continually provides their customers with comprehensive options for their flow measurement requirements. Currently, they are looking to add an Accounts Payable Specialist to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate

$24/hr - $26.50/hr

Position Overview

The Accounts Payable Specialist will join a cohesive Accounting department, reporting directly to the Senior Accountant, and working between various systems. This is a fast-paced and high-volume Accounts Payable Specialist position that provides extensive exposure to the functions of accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and much more.

Responsibilities Of The Accounts Payable Specialist

• Voucher vendor invoices after confirming a 3-way match and that proper approvals have been.
• received per our delegation of authority.
• Audit and approve expense reports in Concur, ensuring policy adherence.
• Facilitate payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, and reviewing.
• Purchase order and resolving discrepancies.
• Identify discount opportunities, request purchase order amendments, or stop-payment orders as needed.
• Assists with the month-end by preparing the AP accrual and reconciling intercompany AP and AR.
• Calculate and report sales tax based on paid invoices.
• Utilize customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
• Utilize your solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
• All other related duties as required.
  
  

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
• Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  
  

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• Experience with ERP systems.
• High volume of invoices processed.
  
  

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma is required.
