Job summary

Accounts Payable Specialist

Viacore is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist (AP Specialist) to join our accounting team in West Des Moines, Iowa. Primary Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely and accurate payment of obligations.
• Maintain and review accounts payable records and subsidiary ledgers.
• Match receiving documents to invoices and enter transactions into the accounting system.
• Reconcile AP accounts and assist with month-end close.
• Review and process P-card transactions.
• Partner with purchasing, operations, and management teams.

Education

• Associate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Experience

• 5+ years of accounts payable, accounting clerk, bookkeeping, or related accounting experience preferred.
• Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.

Skills & Knowledge
