Job summary

Astrana Health Management is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage Foothill Regional Medical Center’s payables, reconcile statements, and optimize vendor relationships. The role reports to Don Huynh and supports month-end close in a hybrid in-office/remote setup.

Based in Tustin, CA, the position involves check printing, invoice validation, and payments processing. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Work with various departments within the company to ensure claims are posted efficiently and as necessary.
• Own the process of check printing.
• Troubleshoot any issue that arise from check printing.
• Review and verify invoices and check requests ensuring the accuracy of charges including whether rates are properly billed.
• Process invoice payments by performing check runs as needed including processing of electronic transfers and payments timely.
• Enter, sort, code, match, and upload invoices into the system.
• Prepare accounts payable reconciliation monthly including review of AP agings.
• Maintain vendor files, including vendor set up as necessary and maintain invoice documentation.
• Perform year-end 1099 processing.
• Provides documents to auditors
• Develop relationships with vendors and various teams in order to resolve issues or discrepancies
• Prepare accruals to support GL (General Ledger) side
• Issue wire payments on the bank portal
• Reconcile A/P monthly
• Support month-end close as needed
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as requested from management.

Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing and executing Foothill Regional Medical Center’s accounts payable functions, including processing invoices, reconciling statements and ensuring timely payments to vendors. Essential in maintaining accurate financial records, optimizing cash flow and building strong relationships with vendors. Typically works within the finance or accounting department and collaborates closely with other teams.

What You’ll Do

• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to details.
• Ability to work in fast-paced deadline environment managing multiple tasks.
• Strong team player who can see task to completion.

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions

• Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where the expectation is to work in-office and at home on a weekly basis. The office is located at 1668 S. Garfield Ave. 2nd Floor, Alhambra, CA 91801. There will be occasional travel to Foothill Regional Medical Center located in Tustin.
• The national target pay range for this role is $22.00 - $27.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location (current or future), experience, and other job-related factors.
