Job summary

Astrana Health is seeking a Manager – Accounting to lead day-to-day accounting operations, report to the Senior Manager- Accounting, and ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams and supports financial planning and system improvements.

Hybrid work arrangement with an office in Alhambra, CA. CPA is required with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2 years in leadership; Sage and MS Office proficiency;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification is required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 2+ years in leadership.
• Solid GAAP knowledge and healthcare industry practices.
• Proficiency with Sage and MS Office Suite.
• Experience with ERP systems (Sage preferred).
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct management and development of a team of accountants.
• Review IPA/RKK related journal entries: capitation, claims, risk pools, AR/AP, and accrual entries.
• Review IBNR and perform related analyses.
• Review, maintain and reconcile the general ledger monthly; prepare balance sheet analyses.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close.
• Ensure SOX compliance-related controls are performed.
• Collaborate with reporting team to provide data for SEC filings and external auditors.
• Ensure financial records comply with U.S. GAAP.
• Handle internal and external ad-hoc requests.
• Support external auditors as needed.

Compensation: $130,000 - $145,000 / year

Description

As the Manager – Accounting, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations of the company, reporting to the Senior Manager- Accounting. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and conduct insightful financial analysis. Working closely with the Senior Manager- Accounting and cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the financial planning process, help maintain a robust financial control environment and contribute to the assessment and implementation of new financial systems and processes. What You'll Do

• Direct management and development of a team of accountants.

• Manage internal and external ad-hoc requests
• Work with external auditors to provide support as requested

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA required
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Solid understanding of GAAP, as well as industry-specific accounting practices related to healthcare.
• Proficiency with accounting software, preferably Sage and advanced MS Office Suite skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with ERP systems like Sage

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions

• Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where the expectation is to work both in office and at home on a weekly basis. The office is located at 1668 S Garfield Avenue, Alhambra, CA 91801
• The national target pay range for this role is $130,000 - $145,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location (current or future), experience, and other job-related factors.
