Job summary

Rothman Orthopaedics is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist for our Center City Philadelphia office. This hybrid role requires 3 days on site each week and entails processing invoices, coding, and preparing payments along with ad hoc clerical projects.

The ideal candidate has 5 years in accounts payable, strong Excel/Word skills, and familiarity with Intaact. Prior sales tax and unclaimed property filing experience is a plus, with a team-oriented environment and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED minimum education requirement.
• Five (5) years related experience required.
• Sales & Use Tax Filing, Unclaimed Property Filing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles required.
• Computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel and Word required.
• Intaact Accounting software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes and codes all vendor invoices and check requests, matches approved purchase orders to vendor invoices, and ensures all check requests contain proper documentation.
• Prepares weekly check runs for payments to vendors.
• Reviews general ledger accounts in preparation for month end.
• Prepares the Accounts Payable financials for each month by reviewing the check register, wire transactions, and deposits.
• Updates the cash flow book as necessary.
• Makes deposits for incoming checks.
• Prepares data for monthly sales & use tax filing for Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
• Reconciles outstanding checks and files unclaimed property reports with various states as required.
• Organizes records for all purchases made on company credit cards.
