LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a respected construction industry client to identify an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a direct hire opportunity in Newark, CA. This role focuses on supporting accounting operations, vendor relationships, and project-related financial processes.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of Accounts Payable experience within construction or project-based environments, with strong vendor management, job costing, and subcontractor invoicing skills.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Accounts Payable experience
• Construction industry experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of job costing, subcontractor billing, and construction accounting practices
• Experience processing high-volume invoices with strong attention to detail
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume vendor and subcontractor invoices accurately and efficiently
• Review and match invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documentation
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Maintain subcontractor compliance records including W-9s, insurance certificates, and lien waivers
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure proper job cost coding and project expense tracking
• Assist with month-end close activities and AP reporting
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain strong working relationships
• Support accounting projects and process improvement initiatives

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of Accounts Payable experience within the construction industry or a similar project-based environment and possess a strong understanding of vendor management, job costing, and subcontractor invoicing. This role is in office daily which will allow you the full benefit of working with this amazing team.

• Competitive salary of $80,000 - $90,000 annually

Pay Details: $80,000 - $90,000 annually.
