Job summary

Northbound Executive Search is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a prominent Financial Services firm in New York. You will oversee the AP process, maintain the AP system, and manage invoice approvals and vendor payments.

The ideal candidate has 2–5+ years in AP within financial services, experience with Microsoft Great Plains, and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Strong controls and ERP proficiency are expected.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of Accounts Payable experience in financial services.
• Experience with Microsoft Great Plains accounting software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience with AP systems and ERP platforms.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overseeing and executing the Accounts Payable process
• Maintain and improve the functionality of the AP system
• Oversee the company’s AP mail and email inboxes and ensure all invoices are processed in the AP system
• Review invoices against service contracts to ensure accuracy
• Obtain and collect all necessary internal approvals for invoices
• Facilitate payments to vendors via ACH, check, and wire through the company’s bank platform

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of Accounts Payable experience within financial services
• Experience within Microsoft Great Plains accounting software
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
