The Accounts Payable Specialist has the following Responsibilities:

• Maintain the daily operations of the Payable functions to ensure customer requirements are met, and vendors are paid accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process invoices for PO and Non-PO vendors in a timely manner.
• Route invoices for approval over email and follow up on on-hold invoices (if any)
• Working with operations manager to ensure inventory is received before processing three-way match invoices.
• Reconcile the vendor statements and handle payment discrepancies.
• Ensure proper and accurate coding distribution for all invoices processed including a weekly review meeting.
• Provide research assistance to the accounting department with AP accrual journal entries for consultants, advertising, legal expense etc.
• Employee expense reports processing in Concur and record expense reports.
• Process affiliate payments once per month.
• Maintenance of 1099 eligibility records.
• Fixed Assets maintenance ie running depreciation, additions and disposal.
• Sales and use tax return files for a few states that are not automated.
• Assist in quarterly and year-end audit process.
• Additional duties and projects as needed to meet department goals.

Minimum Qualifications

• Accounting degree and 2 years of general accounting experience or 5 years plus of general accounting experience required.
• Detailed knowledge of general ledger systems, preferably NetSuite.
• Action oriented with strong delegation and follow-up skills.
• Demonstrated business process improvement successes.
