Job summary

Charter Next Generation, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Lexington, OH to manage all AP activities and ensure timely payment of vendor invoices. You will maintain records, code invoices, obtain approvals, and resolve issues in a high-volume, manufacturing setting.

The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and collaboration with internal/external stakeholders, with opportunities for process improvements and career growth across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Essential Qualifications: Prefer 3 years of experience in a high-volume environment
• Prefer an Associate degree in Accounting (will accept 2 additional years of experience in lieu of)
• Experience in a manufacturing business
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of reports
• Must work well in a high paced team environment
• Intermediate to advanced level experience with Excel and Microsoft Office applications
• Self-starter able to influence, coach, and persuade at the highest levels of the business
• Maintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all activities in the accounts payable function
• Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices
• Maintain accurate records and reports
• Scan, index, and code invoices
• Obtain accurate approval for payment
• Match vendor invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation
• Work with approvers to ensure payments are not delayed
• Review applicable accounting reports and accounts payable register to ensure accuracy
• Interacting with Internal and external clients to resolve issues
• Handling escalated vendor situations
• Statement Review
• Provide answers to all internal and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Develop and assist with departmental process improvements
• Ad-hoc other duties as required and necessary to support the business
