Job summary

The Addison Group in Charlotte, NC seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist to process high-volume vendor invoices, ensure proper coding, and enter data accurately into our accounting system.

You will manage payments (check runs, ACH, wire), reconcile statements, and resolve payment issues while supporting month-end close and internal controls. Collaboration with Purchasing, Operations, and Finance teams is essential to ensure accurate approvals and continuous process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and timely entry into the accounting system.
• Manage weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers while maintaining compliance with company payment policies.
• Reconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and resolve payment issues in a timely manner.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account status.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including AP accruals and account reconciliations.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical records to support audits and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure accurate invoice approvals and payment processing.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes, increase efficiency, and support automation initiatives.
• Generate AP reports and assist leadership with cash flow planning and vendor payment forecasting.

Compensation: $23 - $27 / hour
