Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Everett, MA is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage weekly, monthly, and quarterly payments.

You will maintain AP sub-ledger, process voids/reversals, handle outstanding checks and credits, and support freight and inbound processes while coordinating with buyers and suppliers. The role requires 2+ years AP experience, attention to detail, and strong Excel/Office skills; JD Edwards (JDE) and OBIEE experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree or higher preferred.
• 2+ years Accounts Payable experience.
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access; JDE and OBIEE experience a plus.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Solid understanding of general ledger concepts and corporate procedures.

Accounts Payable Specialist

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will manage weekly/monthly/quarterly payments


• Process Voids, Reversals, and Special Handle Checks


• You will maintain AP Sub-ledger


• Manage AP outstanding checks


• You will manage outstanding credits


• You will assist Accounting with Escheat review and compilation


• Manage Supply Chain Finance, reconciling bank files daily


• You will enter all invoice upload files timely and accurately into AP system


• Pull various invoice details from supplier related websites to create and process uploads


• You will manage all aspects of the automated freight process including processing and problem resolving


• Work with buyers, field personnel, and suppliers to resolve pricing and receiving discrepancies


• Back up support to manual processing including check requests, Purchase Order, and Non Purchase Order related invoices


• Back up support to AP Inbound Process support for overflow of Inbound phone calls

What Makes You Great

• High School Diploma / GED required - Associates degree or higher preferred


• You have 2+ years Accounts Payable experience

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access; JDE and OBIEE experience a plus


• You have strong organizational and time management skills


• Strong problem-solving skills and basic accounting principles knowledge including general ledger systems, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures


• You have the ability to work independently as well as with a team in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

• You have the ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner

Pay Range: $20.24-$29.69
