• Support month-end close, journal entries and variance analysis; ensure GAAP compliance.
• Provide documentation for internal/external audits and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.

Overview

Voyager is a defense, national security and space technology company focused on mission-critical solutions. We seek an Accounts Payable Specialist to join the accounting team, supporting accounts payable processing, weekly disbursement cycles, vendor maintenance, and accrual recognition. The role reports to the Accounts Payable Manager and requires collaboration across departments to support operational and financial objectives. This is a hybrid role with onsite work at our Denver or Littleton, Colorado offices per an agreed schedule.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable and Cash Disbursements: Process vendor invoices with proper coding, approvals and documentation; support weekly payment runs (ACH, wire, checks); maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries; assist with reconciliations related to payables and cash accounts.
• General Accounting: Support integration of newly acquired companies and adoption of Company accounting policies; collaborate with local site procurement teams and Segment Controllers for accounting compliance; support general ledger accounting practices to ensure timely and accurate accounting.
• Internal Controls: Follow accounting policies, procedures, and internal control requirements; assist with month-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis; ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP; support preparation of financial reports and management deliverables.
• Audit Support: Provide documentation and analysis to support internal and external audits; respond to auditor inquiries in a timely manner; maintain organized records for audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of general accounting experience.
• Understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with accounts payable processes.
• Exposure to multi-entity or subsidiary accounting environments.
• Experience in the aerospace industry.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range is base pay of $65,000-$75,000. Actual compensation may vary based on location, experience and performance. Voyager offers a comprehensive total compensation package including salary, discretionary annual bonus, paid time off, health benefits, retirement savings, wellness program and other benefits.
