Job summary

RK Industries in Denver, CO, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support daily accounting operations. You will process vendor invoices, review expense reports, reconcile statements, and ensure timely payments in a fast-paced, family-owned environment.

This role offers exposure to multiple ERP systems like Visa, IFS, and Great Plains. We value accuracy, collaboration with Purchasing and Project Managers, and a commitment to protecting confidential information.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable and subcontract entry.
• Experience with multiple ERPs such as Visa, IFS and Great Plains.
• Strong attention to detail in reviewing invoice coding, approvals, POs, and expense documentation.

Responsibilities

• Enter and post vendor invoices, prepare checks, and review unapproved invoices daily to support timely processing and payment.
• Match invoices to purchase orders, verify coding and approvals, and partner with Purchasing and Project Managers to resolve discrepancies.
• Process employee expense claims using third-party expense management software and reconcile vendor statements.
• Calculate applicable Colorado sales and use taxes on supplier and vendor invoices while developing knowledge of construction-related tax requirements.
• Monitor the Accounts Payable inbox, route invoices for processing, and respond promptly and professionally to vendor and employee inquiries.
• Maintain positive relationships with vendor and supplier accounting teams while ensuring accurate records and protecting confidential information.
• Support the full Accounts Payable cycle and assist with additional accounting duties as needed.

At RK Industries, our Accounts Payable team plays an important role in keeping our business running smoothly. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll support daily accounting operations by processing vendor invoices, reviewing expense reports, reconciling statements, and ensuring payments are accurate and timely.

What You'll Do

What You Bring
